Just north of Greenville, on First Roach Pond in Kokadjo, our home is one of the most scenic and pristine spots for your vacation getaways.
The Oakes family built our Lodge in 1896. We are on five acres and boast 550 feet of captivating shoreline frontage on First Roach Pond, a pristine lake nearly eight miles long. We are surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of north Maine woods, providing all of your vacation and recreational needs. The lodge is uniquely furnished in a semi-Victorian antique-Maine outdoor décor. We have comfortable guest rooms to accommodate singles, couples, families or groups.
Our lodge’s cozy and comfortable guest rooms accommodate singles, couples, families or groups. For large parties of eight or more with a minimum three-day stay, you can reserve the lodge for exclusive use by your group only.
Our room rates include a continental breakfast with the opportunity to upgrade to a hearty Maine woods breakfast for a small fee. We have an American plan that includes a boxed lunch and dinner in the dining room or you can purchase individual meals as you wish.
The bear bedroom is on the ground floor, has a four-poster queen and shared bath. The Deer bedroom is also on the ground floor and has two full beds and a private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The moose bedrooms is upstairs, has a queen and a single bed and shares two ground floor bathrooms. The Fish and Gamebird Bedrooms are upstairs, each have four single beds and shares two ground floor bathrooms.
In addition to our waterfront lodging we also provide dining options for our guests. Great food and views of the water and mountains, along with reasonable prices, are reasons our guests consider this waterfront Lodge the best in Kokadjo and the Moosehead Lake region.
$130.00 per couple, per night (guest rooms with shared baths)
$155.00 per couple per night — Deer Room (our only room with a private, en-suite bathroom)
Full American Plan, add $60.00 per person/per day (Hearty warm breakfast, boxed lunch, dinner w/ dessert)
Additional Occupancy: Room rates are based on double occupancy. Additional guests ages 12 and up are subject to a $50.00 per person, per night fee.

Check in is between 3:00 p.m. and 8 p.m. Late arrivals can be sometimes be arranged, with advance notice. Check out is 11:00 a.m.
A deposit of 30% of your total stay will guarantee your room. Visa, Master Card, or a personal check is accepted for deposit.
Due to being a small lodge with only five rooms, in a wilderness destination area, last-minute cancellations greatly affect us. Cancellations within 30 days of your visit are nonrefundable. Same day cancellations and/or no-shows are charged full reservation amount. Sorry, there are no refunds for early departures.
